Ripped off by MWI Connections

My wife was recently called by this company MWI Connections, who offered discounts on entertainment stuff for a monthly fee. Usually she doesn't even talk to phone solicitors, but they managed to persuade her into getting the free 30-day membership.

I found out later and wasn't too impressed that she gave in, so I did some searching online on the company and found numerous google results that talked about how MWI was frauding people out of money under their numerous companies by tacking on unexplainable charges on top of their 90$+ monthly fee.

I also looked at my most recent cc activity, and found a charge from MWI*Connections for 1$ on my account.

So I checked out the info on the company, and the best way to get our account canceled, and immediately contacted them and demanded that our account be de-activated, and that we never be contacted again by their company or charged for any services, or I would seek legal action against them.

I felt a little squeemish doing that, but after reading so many people's frustrated letters about getting ripped off by this company, I didn't want to take any chances.

The worst thing is, now I will be nervous about finding more MWI charges on my account, as apparently they bounce customers who try to cancel to one of their other service companies and start the process over again.

What losers.
