i have to do stretches, get a knee brace to hold my patella in place, and i'm on neproxen for 10 days. that's a pain reliever/muscle relaxer. i'm already always tired, drugs that will make me drowsy probably isn't the best thing. oh well, it will make me feel better. i have to take it with food and a full glass of water. so i will also have to pee really bad.

i'm kind of pissed off at myself cuz this probably could have been prevented. most of these stretches are the same ones i was supposed to be doing for my CP for like, the past 5 years. but i never did that on a regular basis. grr, there has just been too much shit going on this month. i wish my parents were here. luckily my awesome friends help me out.

oy, it's gonna be a busy, hard year. and it's only the first day.

i have to dress professionally to my methods classes, not just for teacher aiding. i understand why they want us to do that, but it's a pain in the ass. i don't like dressing up all the time. guess i'll be changing clothes everyday after lunch. it's a good thing i had to dress professionally at my summer job cuz i wouldn't have very many nice clothes right now. but after dinner, anne and i went target and i got a couple more nice shirts, and 2 camisoles that feel great. she got some too and a disk chair which is very comfy.

i talked to my mom when we got back. she got the heart monitor back on cuz the last one didn't work. she has an appointment with that doctor on wednesday so hopefully she'll get the results for that then. i'll let you guys know what's going on.

tuesday night, i went to bed at 9:30 and could not fall asleep at all. i finally did at midnight. my alarm went off at 5:30, i hit the snooze button a couple times and woke up 6. i left my house around 7:45.
i got back to good old CURF wednesday at noon. after unloading the cars, we (my parents, ashley and her dad, rob, and kirsten) went to lunch at fridays. we came back and i got to see anne. anne, kirsten, rob, and i went to dinner at taco bell. then we went to the TO show. it was hilarious. i'm glad i got to come early to see that. i came back to the room and completely crashed.

yesterday was official moving in day. i got to see some more friends. i got my books after lunch. not as much as i was expecting but still: $435. i still have to get a book for my sign language class cuz it's not in yet. and my foundations of early childhood teacher hasn't picked out books or isn't using any this year cuz the bookstore people don't know what's going on with that one. so i might have to spend another $100 or so. we shall see next week. the welcome back BBQ was last night which was good. a lot more people were there this year compared to last year. i spent the evening in jen's room talking with her. i'm so glad she's living next to me this year. i wasn't able to hang out with her very much the past couple years. i love that girl. we had to keep ourselves awake for the mandatory hall meeting outside. our new RD is only 24 (and not bad looking either). that was pretty boring, going over the rules. i finally got to see melinda when that was over. jen, kirsten, amberleigh, holly, shannon, alicia, and i went to take cool showers after the meeting. we were gonna have a massage circle out in the lounge but we were all tired that we just sat around and talked until midnight. i scared anne cuz i was still awake when she got back, like 10 minutes after we stopped talking in the lounge.

today i got to see jon again before he left. he gave me a b-day card yesterday and my present today. he got me a book called zobmondo, the outrageous book of bizarre choices. it's a fun book and i haven't looked at much of it yet. some of the questions are disturbing but most of it is funny.

now i need to go eat lunch, then stop at anne's house and the grocery store.

chuckie cheese's, where a kid can be a kid!!

i started my day at work with the 1 1/2-2 year olds. then i was told at 9:30 that i would be going with summer camp on their field trip. and the field trip was to chuckie cheese. it was with 13 kids 10-13 years old. it wasn't as bad as i thought it would. they were a good group. and i got free pizza out of it. but i had pizza for dinner last night, so i'm a little sick of pizza right now. i didn't get my break until 2 though. when my break was over, i went to the baby room, 6 weeks-1 year olds. definetly like the little kids better.

tomorrow is my last day!! i'm excited. then i get to pack and buy the rest of my stuff.

i finally got to hang out with friends. and i had fun at work, with beautiful weather to top it off.

yesterday at work was fun friday. we went outside with the kids for an hour and played with water. we had a little picnic for our morning snack. i remembered to bring my camera with me so i took some picture. but my battery was low so i didnt take that many. but im gonna take it back to work with me cuz i love those kids and the teacher wants the doubles. the older kids got to go outside also. they had a slip-n-slide and some rocket thing that shot water out. their teacher told the boys to take their shirts off once they were outside. but one girl misuderstood and took her bathing suit off and jumped in the water. she was splashing around butt naked thinking there was nothing wrong. i wasn't actually there to see it, but i heard the story 3 times and i laughed each time. it helps if you know the group of kids.

anyway, last night after work i finally got to hang out with friends. i haven't done that in a month so i was very much overdue. it was me, krista, cody, jon, and ashley. we met at DQ, had some ice cream and chatted. here are some of the conversations:

after all that, we went to the cheap show and saw "king arthur." it wasn't bad. messed up the arthur story completely. but the fight scenes were good and there were a lot of hot guys.

the weather is beautiful again today. i went driving earlier. i got jeans at kohls. i stopped at old navy, and for once didn't find anything i wanted. then i went to target and got a few more things for school. and finally bought LOTR:ROTK movie. now i'm just relaxing at home, watching some baseball.

3 and a half weeks til RF and friends!!!

i have a feeling the next 3 weeks will go by rather slowly, but i hope not. working a lot of hours helps time go by faster, especially since i was in my favorite room last week and i will be this week. i think i'll be there the following week too.
yesterday i went shopping for some school stuff. i also bought "the princess bride" book, "finding nemo," and 4 CDs for less than $30.
my parents and i went to a grizzlies game last night. their friend jim bought us tickets. i didn't feel good when we first got there. i thought i would pass out. but i got some water in me and i felt a lot better. my parents work friends are fun to hang out with, especially since they were drinking.

RF people, if anyone knows what day the toe show is happening, please let me know.

hmm, it's been a few days. really, i've just been too lazy and haven't felt like sitting in front of my computer to type.

let's see, friday night i went to jordan's house. holly, smurf, carrie, and kelly came over. we had a bonfire. we played poker and apples to apples. it was so nice to see friends again. that was the first i had hung out with any since i came home from school.

saturday, i didn't really do anything. i did get to talk to anne on the phone.

sunday was my busy day. i went to 8am mass at s.s. peter and pauls. my friend chrissy's baby, jacob, was baptized. he was fine until the priest started dipping him in the water. then he started crying, it was really funny. another baby was baptized also. i felt so sorry for that kid cuz his parents decided to name him anakin liam (names from star wars). after the service, i went to chrissy's house for brunch. i stayed there until noon. then i went back home to change clothes. my parents and i went to my grandparents house to see their new car. they bought a 2004 suburban, very nice with a bunch of gadgets. my grandpa likes his new toy. we went back home and had some bbq. then i went back to chrissy's house. i got to see my other friend heather and have some ice cream cake. it was a lot of fun. i got to hold jacob a few times. he spit up on me 4 times so i didn't smell that great when i left. but he is a great baby.

i came home to get on my computer. while i was gone, my dad was looking up song lyrics or something and ended up downloaded powescan and a bunch of other crap onto my computer. some of it wouldn't delete. but my good buddy aaron who happens to be good with computers told me download something else to prevent all that crap from getting on my computer. it's been working so far. i hate it when that junk gets on my computer, especially when i don't even realize it until after it has happened.

yet another week of work started today (don't i sound thrilled?). i was in the junior kindergarten class most of the day. the boys in there were constantly hitting each other, even when i tried to separate them. one boy scratched another near the neck and took a good chunk of skin off. they still wouldn't keep their hands to themselves. luckily, the scratch was the only thing i had to fill an accident report for. i was stuck at work an extra hour cuz another teacher is an idiot. i was supposed to leave before her but she walked right by me before she left and she apparently told the supervisor that she thought i left already. i just said whatever. i have the same hours as that teacher tomorrow so i will have to make sure that i leave before she does.

after working at the daycare for only one week, i got sick. i was pretty miserable this past weekend. the whole cold/flu thing: runny nose, coughing, sneezing, sore throat, earaches, muscle aches. i didn't go to work yesterday. i didn't feel too bad yesterdayas the day went by but i think it was a good choice to stay home. my body needed the extra rest.
i went back to work today. all the teachers understood that i was sick. many of them told me how they got sick when they first started working at the center. today i was with 1 and 1 1/2 year olds with miss cindy. i think i enjoyed working with that age group more. all of them are so cute. the girls love giving hugs. alex is the problem in the class. he gets treated like a spoiled brat at home and is always throwing a fit. we went outside and he was fine. when it was time to go in, i literally dragged him back inside since i couldn't carry him (i was holding another kids hand). he fussed up to lunch. when he saw the food, he got happy. he was happy after nap time. he fussed during art time and when we tried to take pictures for fathers day. he is a bit annoying but it works out ok since he is the only kid who gave us a problem.

i wonder where i will get put tomorrow...

I GOT THE JOB!!!

i have to go up there tomorrow to fill out some paperwork and have a physical. on monday, i get to sit through orientation from 7:30am-4pm. that won't be much fun. but i officially start for training on tuesday at 8am. and i get paid $7/hour which is pretty good.

now i gotta figure out what else i need in terms of clothing and shoes.
